From a safety technology perspective, TOPIC STV locks are better than standard. Nonetheless, these locks are the very least that you can expect from TOPIC.
At a minimum, your TOPIC front door will have a latch and a locking bar (1), as well two swivel bolts, one at the top and one at the bottom (2).
In addition, it is possible to install two further swivel bolts, or as an alternative, one swivel bolt and an optional safety latch (3+4).

Latch + Locking bar

TOPIC-hasp unit
The standard TOPIC locking system is already more than challenge for an occasional thief. The reason is the patented hasp unit, which is integrated as a standard feature. Nonetheless, there is always room for more security for in line with the old adage, “It is better to be safe than sorry.”
and
solid swivel bolts

In a locked position, swivel bolts go deep into the locking box, which creates a simultaneous clawing effect. This prevents the separation of the door leaf and the doorframe.
The conical form of the swivel bolt increases the clamping pressure of the door leaf on the frame.
Highly resistant, sintered metal cogs guarantee lasting functionality.
In a closed position, the swivel bolts are blocked. In this position they cannot be pressed together either singly or in unison.
Safety latch

Additional safety latch
Security without optical compromises. Those who like to see who is standing before the front door prior to opening it can now breathe a sigh of relief. There is no further need for peepholes and safety chains, which not only spoil the appearance of the door, but are far from entirely convincing with regard to their function.
The TOPIC safety latch replaces safety chains and/or peepholes and is concealed. Indeed, all that can be seen from the inside is the operating button.
Unlocking from outside also takes place via this button (even if the key is inserted on the inside) using a key and the main cylinder.
